Well, that fear was nearly realized last night in my dream.
I was on campus, and got stung. I immediately sat down and tried to slow my breathing and determine if I was having an allergic reaction. Well, it took a few minutes but eventually I DID feel my airway closing up! So I started panicking. I had 911 dialed, but I couldn't speak! (poor planning, dream Melissa)
Luckily, a nursing student found me and administered an epi-pen ("swing and jab" - that's what we learned in pharmacy tech school). After I calmed down a bit, they took me to the medical center on campus, and gave me some post-incident instructions.
"You can't eat corn or use lotion for 12 months"
Whaa??? I never got an explanation for the corn, but the lotion, I was told, would "seep out of the puncture hole."
What a bummer. I love corn AND lotion!

I totally have some of her books that help decipher what your dreams mean and how they can help you and stuff... i'm sure you've heard of it.. it's at like, thedreamzone.com. Mace bought me the books for Christmas when they were on sale two for one. I love them. Just fyi, though you'd find this interesting!
